Event snapshot

Digital transformations and artificial intelligence are reshaping health systems and societies worldwide. Alongside the enormous potential to strengthen health systems and advance universal health coverage, there is growing recognition of the risks: misinformation, inequitable access and the unintended consequences of living in a digital world. The concept of digital determinants of health has gained prominence as a way to capture how digital transformations influence health-related behaviours, health outcomes and healthcare delivery.
This high level panel will bring together policymakers, public health officials, researchers, activists, digital health experts and civil society to discuss the responsibilities of national, regional and global public health agencies in regulating digital platforms. Learning from responses from across the globe, participants will consider what further normative guidance, governance and public health action is needed to prevent the opportunities of digital transformations being outweighed by negative impacts on individual and societal health and well-being.

Messages from
RYC alumni

Each year when a cohort term is coming to an end, DTH-Lab invites Regional Youth Champions to reflect on their experiences over the past year. They are invited to write a short position paper or share a video message that answers one of the following two questions:

  1. What was the most valuable experience you had as a young leader working with the Lab?

  2. What do you hope the next cohort will achieve ?

We have compiled these messages below.
